Kurdistan, Iraq

I recently returned from a photographic adventure to Kurdistan, in northern Iraq. Erbil is the Kurdish capital and the world's oldest continuously inhabited city. Born during the era of early Mesopotamian civilizations, countless generations of people have called this place their home for over 10,000 years. During my time there, I encountered a mindblowing range of landscapes and photographed all sorts of interesting folk. The Kurds are a kind and generous people, who take great pride in welcoming visitors to their land.

Stay tuned for more pictures from the east as I work my way through the editing process over the next couple of weeks :-)
